Empowering the Future of PMU: Scholarships for the Next Generation of Permanent Makeup Artists

Hyper Real Academy was established in 2020, beginning with only a partial grand opening during an uncertain time. We are humbled and honored by our incredible clients, models, trainees, graduates, and the amazing friends we’ve made along this journey. 

After five years of unwavering support from our community in New Jersey, we are proud to introduce our 100% self-funded scholarship program. This initiative is dedicated to supporting trainees from all backgrounds, mirroring the generosity we’ve received from our community. Our goal is to make entry into the PMU world more accessible with every scholarship awarded.

By offering scholarships, our academy ensures that quality education and hands-on training are accessible to a wider community of students. The program not only alleviates financial stress but also empowers recipients to fully immerse themselves in their studies, paving the way for their success in the industry. Hyper Real Academy remains dedicated to supporting every student’s journey toward mastery, providing the resources and guidance needed to thrive.

The Hyper Real Academy Scholarship is a self-funded initiative designed to promote equity and accessibility within the permanent makeup industry. Awarded based on merit, this scholarship recognizes aspiring artists who demonstrate exceptional skill, dedication, and a commitment to excellence in PMU. 

Each scholarship is awarded to students who show strong potential and a passion for advancing their craft, helping to ease financial barriers that may limit access to professional training.

To begin, applicants must apply for their program of choice and complete a short aptitude exam to showcase their skills and commitment to the craft. Eligible applicants will receive an award, which will be directly credited toward the tuition of the specified certification course.

After receiving the scholarship award, students can complete their application and begin the training program. To secure a spot, students must first submit the deposit for their chosen program, after which the scholarship credit will be automatically applied to the remaining balance.

The remaining tuition must be paid no later than 14 days before the program’s start date. Scholarships are valid for 3 months from the issue date, with the option to reapply after expiration.

Hyper Real Academy is currently partnered with Affirm for flexible payment for PMU training, AAM licensing programs, online courses, and PMU services. We accept flexible payment providers such as PayPal Credit.

Hyper Real Academy is currently exploring numerous options to provide financial support for students of all income levels and all backgrounds. One of our biggest goals for 2025 is to provide more financial aid opportunities, low-interest loans, grants, and scholarships for our trainees.

We aim to provide more than just financial assistance for our students. Our board-certified instructors are invaluable resources for our apprentices and graduates, offering guidance on launching a successful PMU business, navigating licensing requirements, and exploring new techniques to stay ahead of the competition. They continue to support each student even after completing their training at Hyper Real Academy, fostering long-term growth and success.
