Hyper Real Academy is a permanent makeup school and permanent makeup salon with a focus on creating “hyper real” results. We specialize in the latest and greatest permanent makeup technology, including our signature RealTint® technology. Whether performing our procedures on our lovely clients, or teaching the next generation of permanent makeup artists, we are happy to serve our community. Our main offices are based out of East Brunswick, New Jersey.

Hyper Real Academy was founded by Anna Sun, a master surgeon-turned-cosmetic tattoo practitioner with over 25 years of experience in the tattoo scene. With the help of her team, she developed RealTint®, a suite of permanent makeup machines, accessories, and pigments. RealTint® offers surgical precision due to lightweight and precise machines, with a focus on maneuverability, precision, and ease of use, ensuring perfect results.

Anna is a certified Platinum trainer (PAAM) with the American Academy of Micropigmentation (AAM).

RealTint® PMU utilizes the most advanced technology in the industry to provide the safest and highest quality experience for every client. RealTint® PMU technology greatly facilitates the training experience for professionals at every stage of their careers, including beginners.

We provide permanent makeup (PMU) training, scalp micropigmentation (SMP) training, online training, globally-recognized board certification, and certification required for cosmetic tattoo licensing in all 50 states.

We frequently refer and brag about RealTint®, and you may be wondering about what it is and why it makes such a difference.

RealTint® is our signature suite of permanent makeup machines, needles, pigments, and other accessories necessary for PMU procedures.  Most machines in the industry are bulky, crude, and one-size-fits-all. Our machines are slim, ergonomic, and use special needles that produce significantly better color retention and longevity. They are fully adjustable, meaning a technician can fine-tune their machine to the client, further improving results and minimizing irritation.

Why does it matter? Why should you care?

If you’re a technician? These machines will be easier to use, and you’ll be working with your machine instead of against it. Your results will be much better, and your procedures will be completed faster.

If you’re a client? Your technician will be able to customize their machine to your skin, and your results will be smoother, more realistic, and with minimal complications.
